I've been a professional journalist since 1992 and been at the Mercury News since 1999. Starting in 2007, I've focused on trying to help reinvent the newsroom, at both the professional and the college level. In May 2008, I became a business columnist for the Mercury News writing about business and technology in Silicon Valley.
