Shirley is the Executive Managing Director, aka ‘Chief Squawker’ of 800 Birds. A hard-core programmer (NASA Space Shuttle program and Tandem Non-Stop OS) turned entrepreneur and business development exec, she finds her comfort zone in mobile and consumer internet and has now added game console and gadget stuff to the mix. Shirley has frequently spoken at major conferences and demo days in Silicon Valley and in China and is proud to be the first moderator in the history of major tech conferences to have her panelists drink bottled beer instead of bottled water, on the stage. She is also a known foodie who can whip up a 12-course meal for 20 or more international entrepreneurs showing up at the door of her house.
