About me

Free-agent intrapreneur, currently with the World Bank. Former career diplomat and Director of the Office of eDiplomacy, an applied tech think tank for the U.S. State Department. A National Security Affairs Fellow at the Hoover Institution at Stanford, where he launched the Global Entrepreneurship Program. Served in U.S. Embassy, Rome, where he developed a program to promote entrepreneurship. Continuing with his ties to Italy, serves on the board of the Mind the Bridge Foundation, connecting the entrepreneurial ecosystems in Italy and Silicon Valley. Other embassy assignments include the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, and Paraguay. Finalist for a 2012 Service to America Medal. Founded and ran a shrimp hatchery in Ecuador. With the Silicon Valley PR firm, Regis McKenna, helped launch the first Apple Macintosh. Degrees from Stanford University & School of International Relations and Pacific Studies at UCSD.
