Laura Newman is a director, producer and writer living in NYC. Her feature film comedy WE ARE THE HARTMANS, starring Richard Chamberlain, was called, “A film that no one can afford to miss,” by Film Threat. As a producer and cinematographer, Laura worked on the Oscar nominated documentary GASLAND. Her short films have been Official Selections of the Avignon Film Festival, Palm Spring International Shorts, Big Apple, Santa Fe and others. Recent video projects for businesses include commercials for Oxfam, Wiley Publishing, The Green Party, Pimento, Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, BioBus, NYU’s Materials Research Science and Engineering Center, and Reverend Billy's Church of Stop Shopping. She is currently developing a reality series about sex education for adults.
