I have a proven track-record from building several successful start-ups within a large media group. Focus so far has been on heavy geographical expansion of proven successful concepts, which involved long term analysis of market opportunities, creation of road map for the group, building of business plans and funding plans, as well as executing plans on the ground in new markets. This involved all start-up related admin plus recruiting of country managers and development teams from scratch. Some of the ventures I have initiated now have market leading positions in their respective markets. Before enrolling at Stanford I headed SCM Ventures, a company which I started in Sweden, currently having around 30 employees of roughly ten different nationalities. We are a part of Schibsted Media Group and build and operate online classifieds sites in developing countries throughout the world, while also fostering new online business opportunities for the group as a whole.
