About me
I'm a reporter turned entrepreneur turned reporter again, currently covering technology for the Silicon Valley Business Journal. I was born and raised in Palo Alto, and joined a successful consumer electronics startup during the first dot-com boom. I later studied journalism and worked for seven years at two daily newspapers and an all-news radio station. After a brief stint in technology PR, I cofounded the mobile software startup Tackable. We raised funding and shipped three live products: A mobile social network, a location-aware news aggregator and a social events calendar. We shut down development after nearly exiting to a major Internet company. I'm looking forward to meeting you over lunch and talking tech.
What Letslunchers say about Luke(12)
Great lunch with Luke. So interesting to hear about his business, as well as the news industry.
I had an awesome lunch with Luke. Conversation never dropped a beat and his passion for Tackable is contagious (gotta love a one-on-one live app demo from a founder!). It's one of those concepts you see fit a need in today's mobile, location-based world and immediately want to adopt. Great lunch, great concept, great person. Eat with this guy!
Having worked as a journalist for seven years, Luke has a perspective not common in the startup world. I enjoyed hearing about what he's doing with Tackable, and he offered some useful suggestions for what I'm doing with CardVine. It was a very worthwhile lunch.
