Graduated from Montclair State University with a BA in Accounting and Finance on 12/2001. Joined Rothstein Kass upon graduation. Benjamin started out as a Tax Generalist and quickly shifted his focus to tax issues in the Financial Sector. The portfolio of clients he managed included PE Funds, Fund of Funds, Hedge Funds and their Investment Managers. As a Tax Manager he was responsible for building a team of professionals to service clients’ portfolios. In 2007, Benjamin left the public accounting world to join Balyasny Asset Management, LP, a multibillion dollar hedge fund, as Corporate Controller and Tax Director. In these roles, his responsibilities included the oversight and control of monthly closings, budgeting, treasury, tax structuring and tax compliance amongst other duties. Benjamin B. Goldberg joined Meridiam in early 2012 as a Tax Manager & Deputy CCO, and is based in New York.
