Recco was founded in February 2011 by three people who love food - Peter Cortez, Joe Sayaman & Jason Culbertson. Recco is a mobile application and website http://tinyurl.com/3otjogn (www.myrecco.com) designed to help food lovers easily discover new places to eat from other food lovers. Recco also allows friends to share and discover favorite bars, shops and entertainment venues from friends. The most frustrating thing about other recommendation engines is being able to trust the quality of reccos. People are random, reviews are long & negative, and algorithms are still pretty impersonal. To overcome these shortcomings, we base reccos around the people you really trust - your friends. We already ask friends for recommendations on where to eat and drink. Recco just provides the hub for people to organize and share these reccos.
