I am currently a Developer Evangelist at TokBox. I get to hack on cool software, spread excitement for an awesome platform, and meet interesting and talented people. It is awesome. I am also the founder of JuanSource, a video subscription service for competitive gamers that has reached over 6,100 members and 1,500 paying subscribers. Previously I worked as a researcher and software developer. I worked in the Human-Computer Interaction Laboratory at the University of Wisconsin where I studied the design of socially interactive systems. My work was awarded the Best Paper Award among 149 submissions at the 2011 International Conference on Human-Robot Interaction. Additionally, I was awarded 1st Place in the 2010 University of Wisconsin Software Competition for a video capture software project.
