Originally from the Dominican Republic, Rui is the cofounder of Pathfinder and its head of communications and marketing. He studied Communication Sciences at the external campus of the University of Wales in Seville, Spain. In 2011 he won Best Presentation Award at the Tech Media Europe while representing a startup in Porto, Portugal. Previously, he has been the Marketing Strategies Manager of the United Nations Association of the Dominican Republic (UNA-DR) and new media consultant for the Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (FUNGLODE) in Santo Domingo. Through those two institutions, he has organized conferences, courses, workshops for young people in the Dominican Republic, New York, Washington and Paris, under the programs of the UN, the OAS and the UNESCO.
