Carlos Escapa is co-founder and CEO of VirtualSharp Software, an innovating provider of Disaster Recovery Assurance for private and public clouds, acquired by PHD Virtual in April 2013. From 2006 to 2009, Carlos was General Manager of VMware in Southern Europe (France, Greece, Italy, Portugal, Spain and North Africa). Prior to that, Carlos was Vicepresident of Channels EMEA at CA Technologies and Senior Director of Marketing in Japan at Sterling Software. Carlos has a Bachelors degree in Computer Science from Illinois State University, and a Masters degree from Virginia Tech. Throughout his career, Carlos has been based in Northern Virginia, the Thames Valley, Tokyo, Paris and Barcelona, leading global market development for software companies across Europe, the Far East, and South America. He has led organizations of up to 220 employees and $200m in size.
